Dear Robyn and Skippy;

I just got married to my best friend a few months ago. We’ve been together for a few years, and I love him so much. We understand each other better than anyone ever has; hell, we even know what the other person is thinking.

The thing is, ever since I got married…I don’t feel married. I feel like nothing has changed. I mean, it’s not like I expected anything earth shattering, I certainly don’t expect either of us to be a different person, nor would I want us to be. I just feel like we’re still boyfriend and girlfriend. Not husband and wife.

I do have a tendency to want excitement and adventure a lot, so maybe I’ve just expecting too much? I’ve told my husband about this, and he doesn’t seem too concerned.

It’s freaking me out a little that I feel this way. Is this normal after getting married?

Thank you,

Newly Married and Confused
