Dear Robyn and Skippy,
My good friend has started selling a well known product out of her home. It is one of those products where you throw a party, invite 50 of your closest friends, and try to get sales out of a demonstration. I understand that she is trying to make extra money, but I am not interested in the product nor do I want to have a party for her. She has been relentless in asking me if I would help her and I keep giving her lame excuses. I feel like a bad friend, but I am a busy person with very little money of my own and I just don’t have time for something like that. It is nothing against her, I am just not interested. I feel like she will be mad at me if I don’t buy the product or throw a party for her. How do I let her down without hurting our friendship or her feelings?
